The POD Web Monitor watches the shipment delivered flag within the dispatching system. When the flag is set, and the carrier has POD images on their website, the application will log into the carrier's website and retrieve the needed POD documents. Once retrieved, the documents are back-filled with index data from the dispatching system and workflows. Once the indexes are applied, the documetn is processed using the same business rules as if the document was scanned into the system. Through this process, shippers can be invoiced and claims can be processed prior to receiving the carriers invoice and POD documents.
